misheard, mistyped and misunderstood: reader suggestions

Thanks to Pete, Jon and Nick for their unexpected coverage of the ‘misheard’ badges in Created in Birmingham, BiNS and Podnosh respectively. Seems there’s an underlying theme of innuendo here, as D’log concocts yet more with his suggestions:

Little ass turn (Little Aston)
Mo’s laid (Moseley
Hard end (Shard End)
Nude housecoat (New Oscott)

D’log’s cleaner suggestions were:

Very common (Perry Common)
Great bore (Great Barr)
And the fabulous…. Soddin’ cold feet (Sutton Coldfield)

Thanks to Chu who came up with Muesli (Moseley) via Flickr comments, resulting in me countering this with Cotteridge Cheese.

Podnosh Nick’s worthy effort is Knee Shells (Nechells)

I can feel a map coming on at this rate.

If anyone is mental enough to want to make these badges up for themselves, drop me a line in the comments box and I can sort out the original image files for you – the ones without the faux shadow effects.

  1. If anyone does fancy doing a map, I spent some time downloading a huge google map stitched together A-Z type thing of Brum which could be appropriated…

    rude
    Shitton…

    or food related
    Curdington

  2. Thanks, Jon. I might have a bash at the map (check your e-mail)… others are welcome to do so if they please, too.

Apologies to Lee Green, whoever he may be and however he finds himself, but another name distortion just plopped into my head:

    Bored as Lee Green

    As in “I’m as….”

One wonders if Mr. Green realises that Heartlands hospital is parked in the crevice of his bum cheeks.
