danger! | glob in progress
If any of you notice a few oddities in the layout at the moment, it’s due to me live hacking a template to try and doctor it to my site which is, as ever, under-development.
I’m venturing outside the comfort zone of using WP as a CMS (as I had been working to) and am building static pages via the wonders of Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS. Why? Because I learn by doing. I toyed with the idea of going to whole hog and trying to integrate WP into the site, but remembered that I’m still crawling and dribbling so it’s probably not a wise idea just yet. So, it’s a case of trying to make the blog resemble the basic site layout. What you see here is some very, very unpolished text layout. If you’d like to help, I’ll lend you a hard hat.
Apologies for some unusual text spacing and dodgy leading (or padding or…. whatever!) – all will be resolved as I plough on with the building work. At the moment, the holding page for graphiquillan.co.uk will try and entice you into buying pens as I’m not quite at the point to upshunt the site to my server. Don’t feel obliged to buy the pens. I’m not.
And yes, I’m calling it my glob, because mistyping is a speciality of mine :)
